Bristol RELH PTF708L at Carlisle
Seen in Carlisle bus station, this Bristol RELH6L with ECW's second type of coach body for the RE chassis range, had been downgraded to dual purpose status, having previously carried white National coach livery. Several of the batch of 10 were later transferred to Crosville, joining 19 similar vehicles.

Leyland Leopard DRN680D near Dungeon Ghyll
An old Instamatic 126 photo of poor quality, but probably the only one I have of a vehicle in the pre-NBC dark red livery. Short Leyland Leopard 680 (that's the fleet number, not the cc of the engine!) is working service 516 from Ambleside to Dungeon Ghyll in the Lake District.
This operator covered a large area of north west England. Based in Preston, on the river Ribble – hence the name – operations stretched from Merseyside in the south to Carlisle, next to the Scottish border. These photos date mostly from infrequent visits to the area – Ribble vehicles were not often seen in the south of England.
