United Counties purchased several of these Bristol RELH with ECW 'bus shell' dual purpose bodies. Whilst they were probably ideal for some of the company's shorter express services between London and the Home Counties, they also appeared on longer distance services to the south coast, as in this case, at Southampton Bedford Place coach station.
